Géothermie
Réduire son empreinte carbone est devenu une priorité évidente. La géoénergie, ou géothermie de surface, est une source d’énergie naturelle et continue provenant du sous-sol de la Terre, à moins de 200 mètres de profondeur. Elle est disponible localement sur 95% du territoire, sans intermittence et exploitable avec une faible emprise au sol. Concrètement, cela consiste à aller puiser dans le sol, la fraîcheur en été ou la chaleur en hiver, ce qui sécurise l’approvisionnement énergétique.
Une énergie locale, propre et durable
La géothermie est une source d’énergie renouvelable qui exploite la chaleur stockée dans le sous-sol de la Terre. Cette chaleur naturelle vient de la radioactivité dans les roches.
Elle peut être utilisée pour produire de l’électricité ou pour des applications de chauffage et de refroidissement. Il existe plusieurs types de géothermie, chacun adapté à des conditions géologiques et des besoins énergétiques spécifiques.
Le gradient de température augmente avec la profondeur. En France, la température monte de 3 à 4°C tous les 100 mètres.
